Paulito FG y su Élite
Paulito FG y su Élite is the band of singer Paulito FG (Pablo Alfonso Fernández Gallo), founded in 1992. With his polished voice and romantic songs, Paulito was one of the big names of the Cuban salsa and timba wave of the 1990s.
About the band
Paulito first sang with Adalberto Álvarez and Dan Den, and then with Opus 13, the group of arrangers Joaquín Betancourt and Juan Manuel Ceruto. In the early 1990s he took over that group. His own band debuted on 19 April 1992 at the Hotel Neptuno in Havana.
Musicians who played in the band include bassist Joel Domínguez, drummer Yoel Páez, pianist Rolando Luna and conguero Tomás Cruz.

- Tú no me calculas (1993): the first album.
- Sofocándote (1994): more than twenty weeks in the Cuban radio charts.
- Con la conciencia tranquila (1997): released by Fania, with Entre dos amigos and De La Habana. To many, his masterpiece.
- Una vez más… por amor, Te deseo suerte and Ilusión (2005), an album of boleros that won a Cubadisco award.
- Later among others Un poquito de to', Sin etiqueta (2010), Abre que voy (2013) and Brindando (2019).
Paulito FG died in March 2025 in a car accident in Havana.
